ORA-24454: client host name is not set

 ORA-24454: client host name is not set


SQL> shut abort
ORACLE instance shut down.
ERROR:
ORA-24454: client host name is not set

Solution:
In our case issue related to /etc/hosts file has wrong value for the database server.
