Install New Printer in OS and EBS 12.2

We have HP Printer with us and driver of this printer was not showing.
So we have installed hplip-3.19.6_rhel-6.0.x86_64.rpm as mentioned by HP linux driver section.

Then we able to see the driver.

Once we configured the printer it was showing in command:

lpstat -a

We have tested one page using

lp -d printer_name aa.txt

It is going to print queue

lpq -a

Once OS side done we have followed the below steps:



1) Define the printer driver, Install > Printer > Driver

Enter the Driver Name : XXXXXXX
Enter the User Driver Name: XXXXXXXX
Description: description
SRW Driver: HPW

SRW driver files on unix are located in $FND_TOP/reports.
In the above example, file name would be HPW.prt

2) Define the printer style.
Navigation : Install > Printer > Style

Style Name : HP
Seq: Enter unique sequence number
User Style: LANDWIDE
SRW Driver: HPW , this should match with driver define page

3) Define the printer type.
Navigation: Install > Printer > Type

Type: XXXXXX
Style: Style name
Driver Name: Driver name

4) Register a new printer.
Navigation : Install > Printer > Register

Printer : Printer Name
Type: Type defined earlier
Description : Useful description
